Some of our staff from our Mayo projects attended Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST) recently. Our Youth Justice Workers Padraig O’Hora, Katya Harrison, Orla Carrol, Leona McGowan and our UBU North Mayo worker Chris Myles all attended this two day skills building training in suicide first aid. The workshop provides opportunities for participants to learn what a person at risk may need from others in order to keep safe and get more help.
